Drago Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy has incorporated the use of the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) belt system. This belt system is highly regarded in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and for good reason. Unlike many other martial arts, where rank promotions can be acquired in relatively short periods of time with very little practical requirements, the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu belt system is quite strict and difficult to progess through.
It can take upwards of 10 years to acheive a black belt in BJJ. As there are only a few belts, you will spend a long time on each one. keep in mind that your progress will likely be sporadic. You may spend 1 year at one belt and 5 years at another. Working your way through the belt system is an incredibly challenging yet immensly rewarding progression.
